Clarity was a game made during the 2014 Global Game Jam that – while the game systems weren’t fully implemented – had a full art pass and ‘look and feel’ completed on it.

Rebuilding old outdated exhibits from a clean slate using Scitech’s new age tools. While I took a production role on this project, most of my time was spent doing 2D art creating interfaces.

Working with Scitech Discovery Center, the Science Fiction, Science Future exhibition employed a dozen interactive multimedia exhibits using complex modern technologies that posed a real challenge to the team.

GAME (2012)

Made in Flash, GAME is a game about the process of game development. As you play the game and collect objects, you see the world develop and change around you from a prototype to final version.

Planck (2012)

An educational game designed to create an interest and knowledge in Nanotechnology. The early prototype displayed here was worked on over the course of a few weeks in Unity3D by a small team of students, of which Matthew Dyet was the project manager.

Viking Blood (2011)

A side-scrolling brawler designed to be played with an XBOX 360 controller. It was created over the course of a few weeks in XNA by Matthew Dyet (Art/Design), Adolfo Steinenbohmer (Art/Concept) and Stephen Blencowe (Programming/Design).

World War Simulator (2010)

The World War Simulator was designed to be part Virtual Life Simulator, part Turn Based Strategy Game. Matt worked on it alone and programmed it in Actionscript 3.

Space Agents in Space (2009)

Space Agents in Space was a 2.5D brawler that was created for the XBOX Live by Programming and Technical Art students at TAFE. In it you played as a “Space Agent”, a 2D sprite in a 3D environment, and could change perspective to avoid ranged attacks.

BIT (2008)

Details
BIT was a platformer created using Python by Programming and Technical Art students at TAFE. In BIT you played through several different eras of gaming, from the pong-esque 1 Bit to a Super Mario World-esque 16 Bit.
