A remake of a game project from 2008, Space Agents in Space is a side scrolling beat-em-up in which you play a Space Agent on the hunt for a dangerous criminal in a quest to save the world. The twist on Space Agents in Space is in the environment and how you move through it.
Appearing at first glance as a relvatively standard 2.5D game, upon arriving at corners the camera and character will rotate to go down hallways. But since you are in a zero gravity environment, it’s also possible to tilt the character up or down to walk along vertical corridors. The camera rotates, giving you the sense that you are always on the floor – ‘up’ does not exist.
Enemies are dispatched using a combo system, with the primary 3 weapons the player is initially given being based on Newton’s Laws – one weapon for each law. Enemies are launched around and punched through the ceiling and out into space where they will orbit the current level.
Space Agents in Space is currently a Skill Tree project being undertaken by Dylan Sinnott (Programming/Design) and Matthew Dyet (Art/Programming/Design/Production).
